With a thrilling 3-1 win over Central Amherst, the JA Brundage Blue Jays became the Major League New York State District 1 Champions. This is an amazing feat and we couldn’t be prouder of these young ball players.
With the win, they advance to play District 38 champion, Dunkirk at 3 p.m. July 15th in Bolivar, New York. If they find their way to the top of the double elimination tournament, they will then travel to the Bronx.
It’s not going to be easy, but to make it this far is an accomplishment in itself. This has been a true team effort and all players and coaches should be extremely proud of their accomplishments thus far.
We will follow their journey to Bolivar and post updates along the way. If you don’t have any plans on July 15th, I’m sure the team would love to see some familiar faces cheering them on in Bolivar when they take on Dunkirk. Let’s represent Whirlpool Park and help the Blue Jays bring home another victory.
